Maszlee bin Malik (born 1974) is a Malaysian academic and politician, currently serving as Chairman of the International Institute of Advanced Islamic Studies (IAIS) since March 2023. He was Malaysia’s Minister of Education from 2018 to 2020 under Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad and previously served as Member of Parliament for Simpang Renggam (2018–2022).
Maszlee is also a professor at the University of Cyberjaya. A scholar in Islamic jurisprudence and political science, he holds a PhD from Durham University and has taught at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). Fluent in multiple languages, he is known for his reformist stance in education and Islamic governance
