Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan is currently Pro Vice Chancellor, Independent University, Bangladesh. His other positions include Professor (Grade 1) and former Chair at Department of Development Studies, University of Dhaka; Senior Academic Adviser, National Defence College (NDC), and Senior Academic Adviser, BRAC Institute of Governance and Development.
He pursued higher education and research in the University of Oxford, University of Wales Swansea, and Asian Institute of Technology. His career reflects a rich blend of academic and practicing development management experiences gained in Bangladesh, Thailand and UK. He has published prolifically (170 publications including some 45 in Web of Science/Scopus indexed).
